Membership Categories
CMA offers four membership categories: Full Practising, Full Non-Practising, Associate and Student.

Membership Fees
CMA offers competitively priced membership across four categories. The following fees apply to the 2026–2027 membership year and are subject to GST where applicable.
Membership fees are reviewed periodically and may be amended by the CMA Board of Directors.

Application Fees
Full Practising and Full Non-Practising: $50 one-off application fee.
Associate: $25 one-off application fee.
Student: Free membership and no application fee.
Application fee waivers apply to eligible graduate membership discounts.
Membership Discounts
CMA offers introductory membership discounts for graduating students, new graduates and practitioners transferring from another recognised association. These offers are designed to make joining CMA more affordable while recognising the different pathways into professional membership.
CMA Student Member Graduate Upgrade
50% off your first year's membership — application fee waived!
Exclusively for graduates who were CMA Student members before completing their studies.
Upgrade to Full Practising or Full Non-Practising membership within 12 months of graduation and receive a 50% discount on your first year's membership fee, with no application fee.
Applicants must meet CMA's eligibility requirements for their chosen membership category.
New Graduate Membership
25% off your first year's membership — application fee waived!
For recent graduates who were not CMA Student members before completing their studies.
Receive a 25% discount on your first year's Full Practising or Full Non-Practising membership fee, with no application fee.
Applicants must meet CMA's eligibility requirements for their chosen membership category.
Association Transfer Discount
25% off your first full year's membership!
Already a member of another recognised complementary medicine association?
Transfer to CMA and receive a 25% discount on your first full year's Full Practising or Full Non-Practising membership fee.
The standard application fee applies.
Applicants must provide evidence of current membership with another recognised association and meet CMA's membership eligibility requirements.

Membership Fees and Payment Conditions
- CMA's membership year runs from 1 June to 31 May. Applicable membership fees are payable annually unless an approved payment arrangement applies.
- Membership applications are subject to CMA's eligibility requirements and approval processes.
- Membership and application fees are non-refundable except where required by Australian law or otherwise approved by CMA.
- Membership fees, discounts and payment arrangements may be amended by the CMA Board of Directors from time to time.
