Constitution & Governance
Our Constitution
The Complementary Medicine Association (CMA) is an Australian public company limited by guarantee, governed by its Constitution and applicable legislation.
The Constitution establishes the framework for the Association's governance, including the responsibilities of the Board of Directors, membership rights and obligations, meetings, elections and decision-making processes.
It provides the foundation for transparent, accountable and effective governance, supporting CMA's commitment to representing and advancing the interests of complementary medicine practitioners throughout Australia.
The current CMA Constitution was revised in November 2021 and is available for members and the public to view or download.
Governance and Accountability
The CMA is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the Association's strategic direction, governance and compliance with its constitutional and legal obligations.
The Board operates in accordance with CMA's Constitution, with Directors acting in the interests of the Association and its members.
Members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Constitution, which outlines their rights and responsibilities and the processes through which the Association is governed.
