The CMA offers a variety of membership deals for new and existing members. Please see below for the different categories and which one best suits you.
FIRST YEAR FREE
If you attend a College or University that has a graduation agreement in place with the CMA, you will receive an invitation scroll at your graduation ceremony, which offers you your first year of full membership free, saving you a total of $294. If your school does not have this offer in place, encourage them to contact our Administration office to discuss the requirements.
FREE SECOND YEAR
This applies to CMA student members when they graduate and upgrade to a full membership. It essentially gives them two years of full membership for the price of one, saving them a total of $294 (including application fee).
NB: for those students that were registered as members prior to February 2010, you still qualify for their first year of full membership free.
25% DISCOUNT
For those that have graduated within the previous 2 years of making a new, full application, a 25% discount will be applied to your first year of membership fees.
NB: an initial application fee of $44 applies.
APPLICATION FEE WAIVED
For new, full membership applications received for those that graduated more than 2 years prior to the current date, full membership fees will be applied, with the exception of the application fee of $44.
NB: annual membership fees are pro-rated quarterly.
10% DISCOUNT
Do you already belong to an association? Thinking of switching to the CMA? If you provide evidence of your existing association membership with your application, we will apply a 10% discount to your first year of memberhip fees.
NB: an initial application fee of $44 applies.

CMA Terms and Conditions of entry;
- A newly graduated practitioner must have graduated within the specified period of time under the category applying for.
- Only 1 membership offer category may be utilised per application.
- All applicants must meet the CMA’s normal entry requirements.
- Any free period begins from the date application is approved.
- To bring all memberships into line with our normal 1st January membership renewal, a tax invoice will be raised in December requesting payment of (if any) a pro rated amount due at the conclusion of the free period.
- The CMA can withdraw this offer at any time.
