MLM and Drop Shipping

If you are involved with the Multi-level Marketing of any product or service to your patients you are required to use the following disclosures.

Disclosure 1:
If you are involved with MLM

This disclosure MUST be signed by the patient and kept on file. It is to advise the patient that you are involved with a MLM company which is supplying some of the goods or services, so the patient has the opportunity to consider and approve of the possible conflict of interests.

Disclosure 2:
If you employ the services of a ‘drop-shipper’
Download CMA – Patient Privacy Waiver – re MLM

This disclosure MUST be signed by the patient and kept on file. It is to advise the patient that you are employing the services of an outside company or organisation to supply some goods or services. [eg drop-shippers]

It is designed to obtain the patients permission to disclose the necessary details to perform this service. To divulge any such details to any third party could be considered as a breach of patient confidentially which is actionable.
